About Forth Environment Link – Organisational Overview

Forth Environment Link (FEL) is a Scottish environmental charity leading the way on connecting people and place. FEL supports more day to day journeys on foot or by bike; encourages more local food to be grown and eaten in our communities; and helps increase the lifespan of our everyday items. The Role

In recognition of the ever-changing landscape of the organisation, Forth Environment Link would like to appoint new Trustees to expand the current knowledge-base and diversity of the Board.

We are currently looking for Trustees who are passionate about the environment, and who can help us achieve our strategic aims and ambitions, particularly those with significant skills and experience in one or more of the following areas: 

• Strategic development
• Financial and budget management, with knowledge of corporate or charity governance
• Fundraising
• Procurement
• Human Resources
• Marketing/communication
• Familiarity with local government policies of Forth Valley including Clackmannanshire, Stirling and Falkirk area
• Wider knowledge of Scotland and Scottish Government policies on areas of strategic relevance to FEL

We would particularly welcome applications from young people or those with a youth perspective, as this area is currently under represented on the Board.

Your personal statement should give evidence of the strength and depth of your ability to meet all of the essential criteria for this role. Please provide specific examples to demonstrate how you meet each of the essential criteria.

The candidates who meet essential criteria will be invited for interview in February 2019.  It is therefore important that your statement gives full but concise information relevant to the essential criteria.
